BLACK BELT RANK PAPERS
When
a student obtains a black belt rank, they express their education, experience,
and goals in ways other than physical ability. As black belts, students
have more insight to their own training, and what potential they hold.
Writing it down often helps define these aspects of obtaining higher ranks.

PHILOSOPHICAL
MEDITATIONS
The
principle of martial arts is for individual accomplishment and principle
of individual character.
Problems
provide us richer and healthier lives. To create that effect on life,
the problem must be approached in the right attitude. we must apply our
beliefs to solve them.
Do not defend yourself with a full force against an attack coming from
the opponent. Rather, you must feint with your movement against a strong
attack. The soft will control the strong.
Poem: The mountain does not laugh at the river because it is lowly;
nor does the river speak ill of the mountain because it cannot move.
Even a very clever man cannot master the various arts to be able to
use them when the real occasion arises if he does not continue to practice
with a purpose. However, if the art is practiced correctly, you will move
by action alone.
Irrigators guide the water, fletchers shape the arrow shaft, carpenters
shape the wood, and the wise control themselves.
It is
the persistent, not the gifted and talented, that win in the end.
