Miss Marian

Director

Marian is 25 years old and graduated with a BS in Management from Indiana Wesleyan University in 2002. She currently is almost finished with her MA in Education from the University of Phoenix. Hobbies include animal preservation, gardening, and paper making; as well as being an avid Trekkie and Tolkien fan. She married Eric Willeke on December 14, 2002 in Bovey Tracey, Devon, England.

I train in Tae Kwon Do because of the level of confidence it has given me. I originally started training to learn self-defense, but fell in love with it for all of the elements it offers, which extends far beyond just self-defense. It ingrains the moral characteristics while helping the person complete their goals through the discipline involved. I can say that it definitely changed my life for the better.

Dan Shi Martials Arts Club, Inc. is a dream I had when I was around a Brown Belt. My Academy was expensive, as most are. Also, many Academy's are extremely competitive, and the individual gets lost sometimes. I wanted to make sure that all people would have their opportunity, no matter what the pocketbook status was. I also wanted an environment where people trained and enjoyed the fellowship of fellow trainees. Of course, perfect harmony is impossible on this Earth, but friendships develop as the Club has activities outside of the training schedule. Many Academy's cannot operate on the lower tuition rates; however, being non-for-profit, and having important partners gives us the ability to exist.
