Chung Do Kwon International Tournament - 2007

A huge thank you to all of you that participated! Dan Shi Club was one of the larger student bodies represented at Chung Do Kwan this year, bringing 21 students to the competition.

A few of the students also competed in forms and placed, which is a very difficult event at this particular tournament since they do not break down the divisions into groups of 4-6, but often have 10 or more competitors. Good job to those of you who took on the challenge, whether you placed or not!

A special note to the following division participants:


11&12 P/W Division
A ll three of our yellow belt participants in that division (Josh, LaQuonte, and Ivery) took the top 3 places.

9&10 P/W Division
Both of our black belts (Joey and Shonnelle) took 1st and 2nd Place, defeating a 2nd Degree Black Belt competitor.

It's always frustrating to see our students have to end up fighting for the top places, but it's wonderful to see that they beat everybody else from different schools first :)
